About the Western Region

Welcome to the Western Region of CUPA-HR. Our member institutions include private colleges, public universities, community colleges, technical colleges, university system offices, research universities, medical colleges, and other professional schools in: Alaska; Arizona; California; Colorado; Hawaii; Idaho; Montana; Nevada; New Mexico; Oregon; Texas; Utah; Washington; and Wyoming. We’re as diverse as we are similar.

As diverse as our region is, and no matter what our positions or institutional affiliations are, we have in common the practice of human resources at institutions of higher education. The Western Region offers unique networking and professional development opportunities designed to meet the needs of practitioners in Western colleges and universities. Research, public policy information, technical assistance and product innovations are available to our members as well.
