Volunteers are being sought to fill openings on these new committees. As soon as the membership of each committee is finalized, a list of those serving on each will be added to this page.
The Membership Committee directs the activities of the Region in securing new member institutions. Membership Committee members contact individual institutions to introduce CUPA-HR and the Southern Region and brief the institutional representative on the benefits of membership. The committee maintains records of all contact and activity in connection with processing a prospective member institution.
The Program Development Committee assists in the development of the program for the annual conference. Committee members assist with the identification and selection of conference keynote speakers; review the program and concurrent session evaluations from the prior conference and the new presentation proposals for the approaching conference; and play an integral role in selecting topics and presenters, which may include directly soliciting presenters to meet the programming needs and expectations of the participants. Committee members also assist with obtaining speakers’ biographies and identifying their audio/visual needs.
The Corporate Relations Committee provides assistance in identifying potential corporate exhibitors and sponsors, securing corporate support for the regional conference, and facilitating a more effective relationship between the Southern Region and its corporate sponsors. The committee consists of members from colleges and universities and corporate sponsors.
