CUPA-HR Midwest Region

Regional Leadership

The Midwest regional bylaws define eight officer positions as the board of directors. The board conducts the business of the region on behalf of its members consistent with the national association's strategic plan and Midwest regional goals and objectives. The term of office for the current board of directors is July 1 to June 30. Descriptions of their positions can be found in the Calendar of Duties below.

In addition to the board, committees are vital to the success of regional activities. The Program Planning Committee plans the educational content of the conference and carries out the myriad of details associated with keynote presentations and concurrent sessions. The Conference Site Committee welcomes attendees to the conference and handles the details for the networking social, fun run, and on-site registration. In addition, our bylaws specify certain standing committees and their responsibilities, such as Past Chairs Committee and Conference Site Selection Committee. Click on Committees below for the names of Program Planning and Conference Site committee members.

Regional leadership doesn’t stop here. Chapter leaders and State Membership Coordinators provide leadership at the state level. The six Midwestern states with affiliated CUPA-HR chapters meet professional development, networking, and information exchange needs for state chapter members. State Membership Coordinators serve as the first point of contact for human resources practitioners new to the region that may be interested in CUPA-HR membership.
