Midwest Region Chapter Innovation Grant Program Announced

The Midwest Region supports new ideas and practices to strengthen chapter programming. Toward that end, the Midwest Region board has created the Innovation in Chapters Grants to fund and encourage sharing of successful and innovative strategies, ideas, and programs among CUPA-HR chapters in the Midwest Region. The board encourages chapters to think creatively and plan for projects or initiatives that build the membership’s knowledge base. The guidelines for this grant program are fairly broad, and all Midwest Region chapters are invited to apply.

Midwest Region Strategic Plan

The CUPA-HR Midwest Region Board has committed to developing and executing a five-year strategic plan for the Region. Among the region’s action plans are to create an HR academy, infuse leading edge technology, focus resources to improve engagement and alignment, develop a continuity plan to sustain engagement up the line, and innovation. The strategic plan is posted for review on the MWR website.

Midwest Region and all other interested CUPA-HR members are encouraged to offer comment, feedback, engagement and additional ideas, and to use the document to generate enthusiasm, support and volunteerism for CUPA-HR Midwest Region programs and activities.

About the Midwest Region

Our approximately 395 member institutions include private colleges, institutes, seminaries, comprehensive universities, community colleges, technical colleges, university system offices, research universities, medical colleges, and other professional schools from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Manitoba, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. We’re as diverse as we are similar.

As diverse as our region is, and no matter what our positions or institutional affiliations are, we have in common the practice of human resources at institutions of higher education. The Midwest region offers unique networking and professional development opportunities custom designed to meet the needs of practitioners in Midwestern colleges and universities. Research, public policy, technical assistance, and product innovations are available to members as well.
