The Midwest Region supports new ideas and practices to strengthen chapter programming. Toward that end, the Midwest Region board has created the Innovation in Chapters Grants to fund and encourage sharing of successful and innovative strategies, ideas, and programs among CUPA-HR chapters in the Midwest Region. The board encourages chapters to think creatively and plan for projects or initiatives that build the membership’s knowledge base.
The guidelines for this grant program are fairly broad, and all Midwest Region chapters are invited to apply.
The Innovation in Chapters projects should improve practice, professional development, etc. Funding requests to support an overall conference budget are discouraged. Grant funds may be used to fund, in part or in whole, a keynote relating to a leading edge or futurist topic, summer institutes or other new concepts. Recipients are expected to exercise professional leadership by sharing their innovations and experiences with their colleagues by participating in the Chapter Liaison conference calls, presenting at the Midwest Region Conference, if appropriate, or other means.
Minimum of $200; maximum of $1,000 per chapter per year.
Funds may not be used for lobbying purposes. Identical applications will not be considered.
Applications may be submitted at any time. Applicants are encouraged to plan ahead. Applications are reviewed three times per year, every year.
